I hope you have REALLY good central heating and lots of thermal underwear!!! Had to read all your last entries since we left Melbourne 4 weeks ago when I visited Mum and Dad in Parkes. Luckily, after being out of contact with the world due to stuff-up with phone and internet connection in Sydney, we are finally back in the real world. You don't realise how much you need a phone and especially the internet until you haven't got them.We have unpacked and the kids have had their first 2 weeks in a new school. They both seem to be settling in well. Jonathon went on a year 7 camp in the second week of school and met lots of kids. He didn't enjoy the camp all that much as it rained (hasn't stopped since you left!!), the food was awful and the accom very basic. They weren't able to do the fun stuff ie high ropes, rock climbing etc due to the rain. Lucy has to sit a year 10 school certificate - I think NSW is the only state to still have such a thing - and will really struggle as it is on years 9 & 10 work and she wasn't here for year 9. Makes it hard in subjects like commerce and history!!! We're all going up to Parkes next weekend as Dad isn't well. He's even skinnier than before but still talks about washing the car and mowing the lawn!! Mum's arm has completely knit so that is good news. David is going up to Parkes this weekend. Keep the commentary coming. I really enjoy your stories. I think you should be thinking about uni courses in journalism or something in that field. You have a real talent for entertaining writing. I especially enjoyed your dialogue with the man with his pants down.Hope you had a great time in Austria. Love Patti Yoo Hoo Mitchell!
