“Hae ye doon ma wee bonnie lassie! Aye, back in auld Scotland noo!”
(Ha ha. Good luck figuring that one out!)

We drove through the rolling hills of Scotland, stopping at a few lochs (lakes) along the way.
On the loch

My Great-Great Grandparents lived in this house on the banks of Loch Lomond! It’s called Stockindruin, it’s on maps of Scotland. This picture shows the entire town of Stockindruin (if you can call it a town).
Stockindruin population: 2 people + 11 sheep

Stockindruin

You take the high road and i’ll take the low road,
and i’ll be in scotland before you!
And me and my true love will never meet again,
On the bonnie, bonnie banks of Loch Lomond.
(old Scottish song)

We stayed at John’s house (one of the teacher’s at ardvreck – who I play volleyball with) one night. He lives on Loch Etive – this is the view from his house!
What a view!

And we saw a few old castles along the way

Then back to work. Yes, I actually do work.
